The 2016 anthology launch was another warm and supportive evening with over 20 New Shoots students from across the Vancouver School Board reading their poetry and prose.
They were joined by New Shoots mentor and playwright Sasha Singer-Wilson, as well as UBC profs and writers Amber Dawn and Kevin Chong.
The event took place at the False Creek Community Centre (1318 Cartwright Street) in Vancouver, BC. Light food and refreshments was served and everyone went home with a copy (or few!) of the 2016 New Shoots anthology.
