The 24th installment of the anthology is a lush mix of perspectives from the student writers. As editors Amy Cunningham, john Mavin, Lenore Rowntree, and Michelle Wright put it, “all the pieces… offer you the possibility of seeing our world in a new way.” “Body Language” is a collaborative poem by students from King George Secondary School breaking down the functions of different body parts. “Heaven, Rock Bottom and All Things in Between” is a short story about a life-changing moment that shifts the protagonist’s perspective on what really matters in life. The poem “Thoughts of Winter” embodies the coldness of the season. The essay “Fork in the Road” reflects on the effects of a dysfunctional familly on the narrator. “A Slam Poem for Love” is a poem that is very honest about the speaker’s vulnerability.
